Estrocom company was founded in 1999 with the participation of the employees of National Institute of Aviation Technologies (NIAT) with the aim of launching a production facility for developing new and implementing the existing technologies for the production of polyimide materials. The team included specialists, who were previously engaged in the production of polyimide materials: NPO SVEMA, OJSC “Novocherkassk plant of synthetic products”, “Dorkhimzavod”. The number of full-time employees is 50 (exclusive of outsourced personnel).
One of the company’s activity is the development of high-temperature polyimide-based composite materials production in Russia.
The first step towards this was the creation of a production facility for producing polyimide varnishes of AD-9103 (PS, IS) grade, which are used in the electronics and electrical engineering industries for enameling round and rectangular wires, producing foiled dielectrics, obtaining polyimide films, as well as used as protective coating, etc.
In 2011, in accordance with the company's long-term development plan, the company started to implement a project aimed at setting up high-quality domestic production of polyimide film at a production site in the Tula region. The total area of the new production facility will exceed 15 thousand square meters, and the number of Estrocom company’s employees will increase to 137 (exclusive of outsourced personnel). The production facility will be able to produce up to 120 tons of polyimide base per year, which will meet all technical specifications (moisture absorption, flatness, shrinkage, increased thermal conductivity, opaque film, increased heat resistance), as well as polyimide-based composite materials with new competitive properties. This will allow to almost completely move away from import substitution for polyimide products classified as dual-use materials.
